Bar Care Panel
The Association takes members' mental health seriously, and offers all members up to three free confidential consultations with Bar Care panel practitioners each year.
If members need the support of a mental health expert, they can make contact privately with their preferred panel member to arrange a consultation. Each panel member:
- Has formal qualifications in counselling or clinical psychology, organisational psychology, or clinical social work.
- Has seniority and experience in their professions.
- Has experience working with lawyers and law firms.
- Is a completely independent practitioner in private practice.
- Specialises in different areas of practice in psychology and executive coaching.
The process is completely confidential. There is no need or requirement to inform the Association of any aspect of the arrangement. The panel members do not report to the Association on any matters relating to consultations. Members simply contact the panel members directly, and the panel members confirms membership status via the Association's website.
If a member would like to continue seeing the panel member after the first three sessions, they will then be responsible for the costs associated with any additional consultations. Keep in mind that most of the listed practitioners have facility for Medicare and/or insurance rebates.
